Compassionate Counselling for Eating Difficulties

Eating disorders and difficulties with food can feel overwhelming and isolating. Counselling offers a confidential and understanding space to explore your relationship with food, your body and the emotions that may sit beneath these experiences.

I provide compassionate support for people experiencing eating disorders or difficulties in their relationship with food. My integrative approach allows us to explore emotional and relational experiences alongside wider influences on body image, identity and feelings of control.

My work is rooted in person-centred counselling, providing a non-judgemental environment where you can explore your experiences at a pace that feels manageable. I also draw on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) where appropriate to explore thinking patterns and behaviours that may be maintaining difficulties, such as rigid rules, all-or-nothing thinking or negative self-evaluation.

Therapy is tailored to your individual needs, combining emotional exploration with practical strategies to support healthier coping, emotional resilience and a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses not a lifestyle choice.

They affect people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. It’s not just about food it’s about feelings, control, and coping.
